Simon Grant was born at a very early age,

in the 'lovely' town of Reading in the early 1980s. Despite his massive intellect, quick wit and modesty he had a relatively uneventful early life. He developed an interest in magic at the age of four - an interest fuelled by a multitude of Paul Daniels' Magic Sets and staying up far too late to watch 'Simon Drake’s Secret Cabaret'.

As the years progressed, Simon’s skills as a magician began to develop. At the age of fourteen, he began working as a magician in various restaurants and performing traditional sleight-of-hand magic at parties and in bars.

This provided Simon’s training ground, but it left him feeling unfulfilled - he wanted something more. Something that would create an impact and reach people on a deeper level, but most importantly he wanted to get paid more.

During this time, Simon’s interest in hypnosis was growing. By the age of 18, he had already performed many stage hypnosis shows. At this point, he was the youngest active stage hypnotist performing in the UK. He had also developed an interest in the psychology behind psychic readings and began to take great pleasure in explaining exactly how psychics 'did it' to his less intelligent friends.

During the year 1999, Simon found that he could, through a mixture of linguistic deception and conjuring technique, create a new genre of show in which he was able to give the impression of psychic or supernatural ability. He then proceeded to abandon traditional sleight-of-hand conjuring in favour of these new mind reading performances.

The mind reading demonstrations were then written, revised, re-written, re-revised, booked and eventually performed at various social and corporate functions throughout the United Kingdom. At present Simon Grant performs between ten and twenty mind reading or stage hypnosis shows each month and lives in Canterbury City centre.

Simon fills the remainder of his spare time with helping people in private hypnotherapy sessions, keeping fit and studying. He is frankly delighted that you have decided to book him and is currently sitting in a big chair next to his phone waiting for your call. Honest.
